Delane joined the 12 News team in August of 2011. He was born and raised in Minneapolis and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in journalism in 2004.
Upon graduation, he left the Twin Cities to become a reporter and weekend news anchor at KOTA-TV in Rapid City, SD. After spending two years reporting on topics such as tourism, state legislative issues and the Rapid City common council, he thought it was time to move on to a warmer climate.
In 2007, he moved to Tucson, AZ and took a reporting job with KMSB-TV. While in Tucson, Delane reported on immigration issues as well as state and local politics.
After three years, the Arizona heat got to be too much, so he decided to return to the Twin Cities to not only experience the four seasons again; but to also cheer on the Vikings, Twins and Timberwolves.
