Four local squads run at Osseo CC meet

Osseo and a few other local cross country teams lost their places at the Buffalo Invitational when that meet switched to hosting teams that would compete in section competition there.

So the Orioles put together a meet at Elm Creek, the first "home" meet in many years. Centennial's boys dominated, taking the top four spots in the 5,000 meter race.

Jonathan Keller was the indivdual champion. Armstrong's Jon Delaney (5th), Nathan Comer (6th) and Ben Kaufmann (9th) cracked the top ten and helped the Falcons to second place. Osseo's Alex Naughton made the top 10, finishing eighth.

The Armstrong girls tied for first but lost a tiebreaker to Centennial.

Megan Kienholz of Centennial won the girls race, one second ahead of Jane Baude of North St. Paul. Anna Nachbor (4th) and Hannah Rudd (5th) were the leaders for Armstrong, with Allison Domingues (8th) also in the top 10.

Cooper's Natalie Kessler placed sixth and Alliana Houfek of Osseo 10th.
