New coach leads Armstrong football into the season
Most high school football coaches will tell you that the preseason practices fly by, and there never seems to be enough time to teach everything.

That's especially true when a new coach comes in.

Dave Frisell is the new head coach at Armstrong High School, and the Falcons are learning a new system offensively.

Frisell has plenty of experience; he was the head coach at Mankato East the past four seasons and has also coached at Bloomington Kennedy and St. Francis.

The Falcons, who were 3-6 last season, have more experienced players back on defense and expect that unit to be solid.

Armstrong opens the season Thursday August 30th at home against Maple Grove.
