Local football team hits the field at midnight

Monday is the first time that Minnesota high school athletes are allowed to start practice. So the Champlin Park High School football team started Monday as early as possible-- 12:01am.

The Rebels continued a tradition of "Midnight Madness" that began many years ago under former head coach Tim Hermann.

The team worked out for 70 minutes in their first practice of the season.

The Rebels' first game is at home August 30th against defending state champion Eden Prairie.
